RECORD OF THE WEEK

Under the Red Sky - Bob Dylan

Under the Red Sky is the 27th  album by legend Bob Dylan.

The album was released in the year 1990 on Columbia Records. The album is considered a strange follow-up to 1989's critically acclaimed Oh Mercy. At Atomic an album highlight is the cracking opening song Wiggle Wiggle. The album stands out in Dylan's catalogue by including many celebrity cameos and contributions. These include;  Jimmie Vaughan, Slash, Elton John, George Harrison, David Crosby, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Bruce Hornsby.
The album is dedicated to "Gabby Goo Goo", a nickname for Dylan's four-year-old daughter. This has led to the popular assumption that the album's more childlike songs were for her entertainment, something that has never been confirmed nor denied by Dylan.

COMIC OF THE WEEK

1st Issue Collectors Edition - The Simpsons Comics
Published by Bongo comics its non other than America's favorite family, The Simpsons. Created for TV by Matt Groening in 1989 it didn't take long for first family of Springfield to become a world-wide sensation. With this meant a spreading to many different mediums; merchendise, a movie, music, video games and of course comic books.

We at Atomic (we I mean Trystan/co-owner) grew up reading The Simpsons comics and can remember them being some of the first stories I collected along with Asterix, Tintin and Snoopy. Every issue was a great and hyper adventure in the town of Springfield with Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie (along with all the other long suffering residents). We have here the first issue of the comics in it's super special collectors edition with the front cover mocking (lovingly we're sure) the first issue of The Fantastic Four published by Marvel back in the 60s.

Any collector and Simpsons fan would be lucky to have this comic in their collection.
